Back To Light
-----------------

Giroro's tears were rolling down the side of the yellow Keronian's chest. He had been like this for a few minutes at most: sobbing into the unmoving body of the one Keronaian who he really cared about. Every second seemed to last an hour, ever minute a day. He knew how movie-like and crap it sounded, but it really felt like time had stopped. Everything seemed so silent after the screaming had stopped, and he wondered vaguely if he had woken anyone up, before deciding that he didn't really care about that.
Once again, he became enveloped in his own thoughts, his own depression, his own wishes and hopes, hoping this was only a bad dream, and that he would wake up to find that they had fallen asleep on the cinder blocks around the fire. He'd tell her how he felt as soon as he woke up. Gently caressing her face, he promised to himself that he would, that she wouldn't have to wait any longer to know his true thoughts and feelings, not the fake hate that he had shown for the yellow Keronain on multiple occasions during their attempts at the invasion. He didn't really hate her, not at all. And yet she seemed to think that he did...but she also seemed to know differently... Was she masking things too..?
The corporal's thoughts were interrupted by a choking cough, followed by another and some ragged gasps for air. He didn't look up, telling himself that it was just his mind playing tricks on him.

But then he heard the voice.

“S-Senpai... What happened..? Are you c-crying?”
The red Keronian instantly looked up, his face brightening at the sight of Kururu's eyes.
Wait...her eyes...
He blushed madly as he realized. Her glasses had fallen off and he was staring into her bright yellow-green eyes. Eyes that were filled with life.
Life.

Before the communications officer could realize what was happening, Giroro was on top of her, his arms locked around her in a tight hug.
“Never, ever, leave me again.”
“I won't-”
“Promise?”
“I promise...” Kururu sighed quietly in happiness, wrapping her own arms around Giroro.
“Kururu...”
“Hmm?”
“I love you...”
Blushing madly, Kururu spoke softly into his ear:
“I love you too..”
Happy reunion time!

I'm ending the fanfic here until I get my writing frame back. I don't know how long it'll take, but I'm happy to stop it here until I get the feelings back again and I want to write more of it.

Hope you enjoyed! ^-^
